Tentative deal made to end Tahoe Knight Monsters strike
STATELINE, Nev. (KOLO) - A tentative deal has been reached to end the Tahoe Knight Monsters strike that postponed Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 27 and 28, games in Rapid City, S.D., according to an ECHL X post.
The collective bargaining agreement announcement was made by the North American professional minor ice hockey league (ECHL) and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA).
The PHPA is a union for all players in the American Hockey League and ECHL.
It is subject to ratification by the PHPA’s ECHL membership and approval by the ECHL board of governors.
“Players will report to their teams in good faith and prepare to return to play, pending ratification and approval,” the post said.
The team’s home ice rink is the Tahoe Blue Event Center.
