The multimodal improvement project will revitalize the 3.2-mile corridor by creating a more-livable, safer and vibrant community on Wells Avenue, beginning at the I-80 ramps in Reno and continuing on Oddie Boulevard to Pyramid Way in Sparks.
The RTC always looks for ways to involve the public throughout the development of any document, project, plan or policy. They are currently seeking people to join the Citizens Multimodal Advisory Committee (CMAC).
California is open to two-way traffic until about mid-July. After that, there will be a full California/Keystone intersection closure so crews can finish the improvements before Reno High School starts back up again.
Even though the rest of the project is back open to two-way traffic, drivers can still expect to see possible lane closures and traffic shifts as utility companies connect utilities throughout the corridor.
