CARSON CITY, NV - East Fork Fire Protection District says U.S. 395 has reopened to traffic at Mica Drive after an 8-inch gas pipeline blew up about 4PM on Saturday, Nov. 21. No injuries reported.

East Fork Fire Protection District Captain Terry Taylor says residents in the Indian Hills and Sunridge subdivisions were not evacuated and there was no threat to any homes.

NHP is reporting two vehicles were damaged from flying dirt and rocks.

Taylor says the high-pressure gas line, located on the east side of the intersection, blew-up about 4PM sending rocks and dirt into the air.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
