SPARKS, NV - Sparks police arrested two people who beat and robbed a man who helped start their stalled vehicle on Saturday, March 7, 2015.

Officers say 25-year-old Jasmine Paul Sanchez and 27-year-old Debra Diane Griffin, both of California, asked a man to help jump start their vehicle around 10:20 p.m. on Greenbrae Drive. Sanchez then began to beat the victim while Griffin let her dogs out of their vehicle and one of the dogs attacked the victim. Griffin also began hitting the man in the head with a rock while Sanchez took his cell phone, wallet and keys.

Police say the man was able to run to a local convenience store and call for help. He was transported to Renown Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening dog bites and head injuries.

Officers found and arrested Griffin a short distance away while Sanchez was arrested about 2 a.m. as he retuned to his vehicle.

Sanchez and Griffin are both charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. They are being held on $60,000 bail.
