NV Assemblyman Pete Livermore Dies at 73

CARSON CITY, NV - Nevada Assemblyman Pete Livermore has died at the age of 73.

The Carson City Republican had served since 2011, and was not seeking a third term. He represented District 40, which covers Carson and part of Washoe County.

Livermore was a Marine Corps veteran who for several years owned an A&W restaurant in Carson City. Among other things, he was involved in the Chamber of Commerce and youth sports.

Paramedics were called to his home early Monday, told he was in cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

There is no word yet about services.
