Eight Teens Held for Inciting a Riot at Treatment Center

RENO, NV - Eight juveniles are in custody Tuesday, accused of starting a fight against the staff at their treatment facility.

It happened around 8p.m. Mon., when two teens started fighting. Staff members attempted to break up the violent altercation when according to police, 40 kids began yelling at the staff and attacking them.

Twenty officers were called in to help calm things down. Arrests were made for battery and inciting a riot.

It is unknown at this time what led to the teens' violent outbursts and identities of those involved.

Nobody is seriously hurt.

The teens are patients at the Willow Springs Center, near S. Rock Blvd and Edison Way.
