NV horse events canceled/postponed this weekend?

State agriculture officials have ordered the quarantine or a second and third horse in southern Nevada that tested positive for an equine herpes virus after the state high school rodeo last month in Pahrump.


A slow-moving weather system will bring valley rain showers and Sierra snow overnight through Thursday. Expect snow levels to stay above 6,500' for most of this storm, with up to 8-10" of wet snow above 7,000'. Valleys could see a few thunderstorms on Wednesday afternoon, but cells should be isolated and short-lived. Friday will bring a brief break in the weather, followed by a chance of Sierra snow and valley rain showers on Saturday. Spring arrives on Wednesday at 2:58 PM. -Jeff
