RENO, NV - For the first time in program history, the Nevada women’s basketball team is heading overseas for a nine-day excursion in Spain.

The Wolf Pack will compete in three games while overseas and visit three of Spain’s most populated cities on its nine-day trip. The team will depart Reno next Saturday, Aug. 10 and return to the states on Monday, Aug. 19. Nevada will begin its venture in Spain’s capital city of Madrid where it will spend three days. Additionally, on Monday the 12th the team will depart for the town of Toledo, which was declared a World Heritage Site in 1986. The Pack’s first taste of international competition will be against CB Alcobendas the following day.

The Pack will then load up and head to Valencia where it will spend two days in the port city that lies on Spain’s southeastern coast. While in Valencia the team will compete in a scavenger hunt around the city and take a boat trip around the Mediterranean Sea. Nevada’s second contest will be played on Thursday, Aug. 15 in Valencia against the Valencia All-Stars.

As the trip nears its end, the Pack will spend its final three days in Spain’s second-most populated city, Barcelona. As part of its time in Barcelona, the team will embark on a bike tour of the city, tour the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, and enjoy some free time. Nevada’s third and final game will be against the Barcelona All-Stars on Saturday, Aug. 17.

This year’s version of the Wolf Pack features seven returning letterwinners from the 2018-19 season and eight newcomers, mixed with three freshmen and five transfers.
