SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Wolf Pack (2-9, 1-3 MW) suffered a road loss on Sunday afternoon at San Diego State (4-6-1, 3-1 MW) by a score of 4-1. Freshman Lesly Gonzalez scored the Pack’s lone goal of the afternoon, the first of her career, in the second half of action.

Nevada will be back home next Friday and Sunday to face Air Force and Colorado College. Sunday’s contest against the Falcons will be honoring the Pack’s support of Vs. Cancer this season.

Nevada mustered seven shots in the contest, with three of them coming from sophomore Payton Lieb. Only two found their way on goal, one from Lieb and the other being the goal from Gonzalez.

The match was a close 1-0 contest after the first 45 minutes, but the Aztecs struck quickly after the second half started. Moments later, Gonzalez netted her first of the year after finding the ball off a deflection in the SDSU box, skipping the ball into the bottom right corner past the outstretched arms of the keeper.

Kendal Stovall totaled four saves in the contest. She now boasts 62 on the season.
