RENO, Nev. (KOLO)-- A walk-on player to the Wolf Pack basketball team has been kicked off the team after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing property damage of $250 to $5,000.

Zachary Michael Wurm, 23, was booked into the Washoe County jail by the Reno Police Department about 4:08 a.m. January 6, 2018, jail records show.

Wolf Pack sports spokesman Chad Hartley issued this statement: “Our department is aware of this incident and we are gathering further information at this time.”

The police department could not be immediately reached to give more details about the circumstances around the arrest.

The Wolf Pack website said Wurm is a Manogue High School graduate who attended Menlo College in Atherton, Calif., near San Francisco before joining the Wolf Pack last season and he sat out a season under transfer rules. He plays guard and forward.

He has played three minutes this year for the Wolf Pack.
