Wolf Pack moves up in polls following close contest with SDSU

RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada men’s basketball team has moved up a spot to sixth in the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls released today. The 11-0 Wolf Pack was seventh in both polls last week. The Pack was ranked as high as fifth in the Nov. 26 AP poll, the highest ranking in school history.

Nevada hosts Akron on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center. This time may be different than was had originally published on posters, schedule cards, tickets and other promotional material.

The game with the Zips is the final non-conference home game of the season. Mountain West play begins on Jan. 2 when Utah State comes to Lawlor Events Center.

At 11-0 the Pack is one of nine undefeated teams in Division I basketball this season.
