Wolf Pack aims to keep Fremont Cannon blue, win third straight over UNLV

It's rivalry week in the Silver State. Nevada and UNLV will meet for the 44th time Saturday in Las Vegas, with the Wolf Pack trying to win its third straight game over the Rebels.

Nevada (7-4, 5-2) can win eight games for the first time since joining the Mountain West conference. The Wolf Pack is also trying to win a fifth in a row - something it hasn't done since 2012.

Kickoff from Sam Boyd Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m., Saturday night. Nevada was recently listed as a 12-point favorite.

Riding a four-game win streak, Nevada will head to intrastate rival UNLV this Saturday, Nov. 24 with the Fremont Cannon on the line ... After securing a 21-12 victory on the road against San Jose State last Saturday, Nevada will look for its first five-game win streak since 2012 ... Nevada has now won nine of its last 10 matchups with the Spartans ... UNLV will enter Saturday losers of seven of their last eight games, with its lone victory coming two weeks ago in a 27-24 defeat of San Diego State ... In the Mountain West, Nevada ranks higher in scoring offense sitting at fourth compared to the Rebel’s eighth, and in scoring defense as the Pack is ranked eighth while UNLV sits dead last ... Nevada has defeated UNLV in 11 of its last 13 meetings, with the Pack winning the previous two.
