Reno, Nev. - All four top seeds protected home court Wednesday, with Manogue, Reno, Spanish Springs and Douglas advancing to Friday's semifinals.

The Miners jumped out to a huge lead over McQueen, only to see the Lancers rally in the third and fourth to make it a single-digit game. But down the stretch, Manogue flexed its muscle, winning 68-52. At Reno, the High Desert's top seed left no doubt against Carson, crushing the Senators 65-36. Spanish Springs and Damonte Ranch played a close, physical game, but in the end it was the Cougars holding on and moving on with a 58-46 victory. In Minden, Douglas and Reed played the best game of the night, with the Tigers just edging the Raiders 46-40.

This sets the table for Friday's semifinals from Carson High School. Manogue will take on Spanish Springs at 5:30, followed by Reno and Douglas at 7:15. Winners advance to the state tournament and will play for a Northern championship on Saturday.
