RENO, NV (KOLO) – For the second time in three weeks, true freshman placekicker Brandon Talton has been named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week.

Talton played a huge role in helping Nevada to a 19-13 victory on Saturday over Weber State, the sixth-ranked team in the FCS. The Vacaville, Calif. native scored 13 of the Wolf Pack's 19 points, which included four made field goals and an extra point. Talton was perfect on the night, hitting 4-of-4 field goal attempts with a long of 36 yards. He became the first Nevada placekicker to make four field goals in a single game since 2008.

Through three games of the 2019 season Talton has been perfect, making 8-of-8 field goal attempts with a long of 56 yards. He is one of 32 players nationally that have not missed a field goal attempt this season and is one of five players that have made eight, which leads the nation.
