Reed earns co-league title; Spanish Springs grabs top seed

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The High Desert league title was on the line Saturday afternoon when the Reed Raiders and Spanish Springs Cougars collided.

Reed won the matchup 65-61 to finish 7-1 in the High Desert and get a share of the league title, Spanish Springs will be the league's top seed entering next week's regional tournament.

The Cougars beat the Raiders by 7 earlier in the season meaning the Raiders had to win Saturday by 7 or more points to be outright winners.

Reed will host Douglas, the Sierra's third seed, on Tuesday.
