RENO, Nev. (KOLO) The next time you go to Greater Nevada Field for a baseball game, you will see newly installed netting that runs from foul line to foul line.

“The beauty of minor league baseball is the proximity to the ballpark and the players,” said Aces GM Emily Jaenson. “We want to make sure everyone in our audience is protected at all times and that includes the entirety of the stadium.”

Jaenson says the nets have 95% visibility, and you won't need see them during Reno 1868 FC soccer games, as they can be slid out of the way.

The nets will also be slid out of the way before and after baseball games which will allow fans to get autographs.

23 MLB teams have also added extra protective netting.
