RENO, NV - Nevada defensive end Dom Peterson has been named to the Ted Hendricks Preseason Watch List for the 2019 season. The Ted Hendricks Award honors the top defensive end in college football.
The Ted Hendricks Award is named in honor of college football’s first three-time first-team All-American. The award is given to the player who best exemplifies leadership abilities, on-field performance, and contributions to their community. Members of the national media, head coaches, professional scouts and former winners of the award are included on the selection committee.
In 2018, Peterson became a force on the Nevada defensive line, registering 44 total tackles including 10.5 tackles for loss. He finished the year with 5.5 sacks that went for 44 yards and one fumble recovery.
One of the Harbor City, Calif. native’s best games of the season came during the Pack’s Arizona Bowl victory when he registered a career-high 2.5 tackles for loss along with half a sack and five tackles.
