Nevada moves up in AP, USA Coaches Polls; No. 14 in NET

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The 21-1 University of Nevada men’s basketball team has moved up to sixth in both major college basketball polls this week. The Wolf Pack moved up two spots from last week in the Associated Press poll and one spot in the USA Today Coaches poll. The Wolf Pack has been ranked in the top 10 all 14 weeks of the 2018-19 season. Overall the Pack has been ranked the last 19 weeks in both polls dating back to last season.

The Pack’s highest ranking of the season was fifth on Nov. 26 in the AP poll and fifth on Dec. 31 in the USA Today Coaches poll. Both are the highest rankings in school history.

Nevada (21-1, 8-1 MW) is at Colorado State (9-13, 4-5 MW) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. PT The Pack leads the Mountain West with a 8-1 record and defeated the Rams earlier this season at home 100-60. The game will air on CBS Sports Network.
