RENO, NV - The University of Nevada men’s basketball team will compete in the 20th annual 2019 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, Nov. 22-25 at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center on St. Thomas. Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Fordham, Grand Canyon, Illinois State, Valparaiso, Western Kentucky and the Wolf Pack are the eight participants in the event. Nevada will play Fordham University in its first game of the tournament on Friday, Nov. 22 at 12:15 p.m. PT. Valparaiso University and Grand Canyon open the tournament at 10 a.m. Illinois State and Cincinnati play at 2:45 p.m. PT and Bowling Green and Western Kentucky conclude the first day at 5 p.m. PT.
Losing teams will compete in their second game the following day, Saturday, Nov. 23 with tipoffs scheduled at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. PT. Winning teams will have a one-day respite, before facing off in the semifinals, Sunday, Nov. 24. The first semifinal will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by the second semifinal at 4:30 p.m. PT. All teams will return to the UVI Sports and Fitness Center on Monday for the final days of competition. The seventh-place game will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the fourth-place game at 12:15 p.m., third-place game at 2:45 p.m., and the men’s championship game at 5 p.m. PT.
