COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KOLO) - The Mountain West Conference has handed down suspensions against UNLV for the fight that broke out after the UNLV-Nevada rivalry game on November 30th.

Giovanni Fauolo Sr. will serve a two game suspension. Evan Austrie and Noah bean will serve a one game suspension. Justin Polu will only have to serve a half game suspension.

Since UNLV did not qualify for a post-season bowl game, the suspensions will be served at the start of next year's football season. However, since Austrie and Polu have used up their college eligibility, The Mountain West is allowing UNLV to take other disciplinary action.

A fifth player, Steve Jenkins has been issued a public reprimand.

The Mountain West had previously announced punishments for four Nevada football players.

Austin Arnold will serve a two-game suspension, Daniel Brown and Hausia Sekona will serve a one-game suspension and Gabriel Sewell is suspended for one-half game.

The suspensions will be in effect for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on January 3, 2020. Arnold will also miss the first game of the 2020 season.

University of Nevada Police Services are still looking for fans who may have been involved in the post-game confrontations. They are asking these fans, or anyone who can identify them, to contact University Police Services at 775-784-4013.
