Manogue's buzzer-beating win highlights Thursday's regional hoops

With two tickets to the state tournament on the line, the boys' 4A North regional semifinals did not disappoint, with Manogue's last-second win over Reed topping a wild Thursday night.

Josh Rolling grabbed two offensive rebounds in the final moments, scoring on the second to send the Miners back to state and the Northern title game. 43-41. In the nightcap, Spanish Springs held off a hungry Galena team eliminating the Grizzlies 51-44 to set up a rematch of last year's Northern championship between the Cougars and Manogue.

Elsewhere, classes 3A through 1A kicked off their regional tournaments, with semifinal matchups being set. Friday's winners will make it state.
