Former Pack PG Burton to play pro basketball in France

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) Former Wolf Pack point guard Deonte Burton has reached an agreement to play pro basketball over in France with Lille Métropole Basket, a Pro B team.

Burton spent last season playing for the Bakersfield Jam in the NBA Developmental League, where he averaged 9.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 26 minutes per game.

He played in Germany back in 2015, and spent training camp with the Phoenix Suns. He also played in the 2015 NBA Summer League with the 76ers.

Burton went un-drafted out of Nevada, leaving the program ranked second all-time on the school's career scoring list. He averaged 20.1 points, 4.4 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game as a senior, being named first team All-Conference.
