RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Former Wolf Pack defensive end Ian Seau has been released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL, just one day after signing with the team's practice squad.

Seau signed with the Los Angeles Rams after going undrafted out of Nevada.

He was one of the Rams' final cuts during training camp, after he recorded three tackles and 1.5 sacks during the NFL preseason.

Seau led the Mountain West Conference with 10 sacks as a senior last season. His 18.5 career sacks rank sixth on the school's all-time sack list, despite playing just three seasons at Nevada.
