Drew earns Mountain West Player of Week after hot start to season

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Nevada senior Lindsey Drew has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week for his play in the Wolf Pack’s first two games of the season. Drew averaged 27 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists as the Pack split its first two games of the season.

Drew had a big night in his first regular season game since Feb. 14, 2018 when he ruptured his achilles at Boise State, on a last second shot to end the first half. In his 100th game and 94th start for the Wolf Pack he scored a career-high 30 points in against Utah.

Drew had a new career high by halftime with 18 with his previous high of 17 coming against UNLV on Feb. 6, 2018. He made 12-of-19 field goals and 5-of-9 three-pointers all are career bests. In addition he dished out a game-high eight assists and tied for team honors with six rebounds in 36 minutes. He did not commit a turnover.
In the Pack’s win over Loyola Marymount he scored a game-high 24 points in leading Nevada to the 72-67 win over the Lions. Drew just missed a double-double as he tied for game honors with nine rebounds. He also dished out a game-high seven assists.
