Bishop Manogue preps for state championship showdown with Bishop Gorman

By  |

Bishop Manogue has its sights set on state championship hardware as the Miners get ready to battle Bishop Gorman in Saturday's 4A title game.

The Miners have rode a wild wave to reach this point, winning eight straight games since a 3-3 start to the season. Manogue beat Spanish Springs, Damonte Ranch and Arbor View to reach its first 4A championship game.

The Gaels won't go easily. Bishop Gorman has won the last nine state championships - all by convincing margins. It'll be the fourth time Miners' head coach Ernie Howren sees Gorman in the state final. The previous three were during Howren's time at Reed.

Kickoff is set for 12:10, Saturday 12/1 from Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Get ready for kickoff with the content above!
