Anderson signs contract with Yankees, forgoing senior season at Nevada

RENO, NV (KOLO) - Ryan Anderson has signed a contract with the New York Yankees, meaning the Spanish Springs product will not return to Nevada for his senior season.

The Yankees selected the left-handed pitcher in the 12th round (pick 375) of last week's Major League Baseball Draft.

This season, Anderson led the Wolf Pack with 70.2 innings pitched. He struck out 64 batters, finishing with a 4.84 earned run average.
