Aces win in more regular fashion against Grizzlies 6-2

RENO, NV – Compared to yesterday’s epic comeback win, today’s Aces game was pretty status quo as far as baseball is concerned. Reno came out on top 6-2 over Fresno in the series finale for their fourth straight win over the Grizzlies. Anthony Vasquez threw the third quality start of the season for the club tossing six innings, surrendering three hits and zero earned runs while striking out four. The lefty would even help himself out offensively with an RBI-single in the bottom of the second inning.

Outfielder Tim Locastro and infielder Domingo Leyba went back-to-back in the opening frame for the Aces. It is the second lead-off home run of the season for Locastro and the second time the club has gone back-to-back in 2019. The Aces would add three more runs in the bottom of the second and the pitching staff took over from there never giving up the lead. Andrew Aplin followed up his heroics from yesterday with a 3-for-4 performance with an RBI-double and a run scored today. The Aces will take on the Las Vegas Aviators for the first time in history tomorrow night with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
