Weather impacts Black Friday business

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The icy and snowy road conditions impacted business at Cabela’s early Friday morning. According to the General Manager Charlie Terhune there was an initial low turnout due to the cold weather.

He said there were around 300 people when its doors open. “Generally we have around 700 to 1,000 people, today was a little lighter," said Terhune.

The store is expecting more people throughout the day. Terhune said, “You know we really don’t plan for weather, because we can’t control that, so we just take care of the customers that make their way out here and that is all we can control."

Some shoppers didn’t let the weather stop them from a deal.
Beth Mcauley said, “You know what, they had great deals, we have a family, lots of guys and the jeans were ten bucks, so you can’t beat that."

She added, "Get each guy, a couple pairs of jeans, and a couple of Henley’s stuff for the winter.”
