Washoe County sample ballots mailed in two parts this year
Washoe County sample ballots will begin arriving in homes shortly and the
wants people to know they will come in two parts mailed separately.
They were split to save money, the county said. Early voting begins October 20, 2018.
The first sample ballot will have the six statewide ballot questions, the one Washoe County question and the Sparks advisory question. This includes arguments for and against.
The second sample ballot lists candidates, voting instructions, early voting schedule, and other voting information such as how to vote, the county said.
“If a voter has registered or changed their address in the last month, their sample ballot will be delayed,” explains Registrar of Voters, Deanna Spikula. “And finally, all voters can view their sample ballots online on our website by looking themselves up in our voter lookup area.”
