WCSD says there is no threat after finding ammunition at Depoali

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Washoe County School District says there is no threat at Depoali Middle School.

The district says they have found the source of the ammunition, and have found no threat of any weapon or anyone using the ammunition.

The district adds that students have created and circulated many rumors that have been investigated and were determined to be untrue.

The Washoe County School District issued a letter to Depoali Middle School parents Tuesday, September 17, 2019 after ammunition was found on school grounds.

The letter, from Depoali Principal, Joye Ancina asked parents to speak to their students in an effort to gather more information about the situation. Ancina says a student found the ammunition at the end of the school day on Tuesday.
