WCSD Board of Trustees to look at rezoning high school boundaries
Changes could be coming to where students will go to high school in Washoe County.
The Washoe County School District Board of Trustees will look at recommendations to change some high school boundaries at its February 11, 2020 meeting.
The district says the reason for these changes is to balance out the schools since Desert Skies and Sky Ranch Middle Schools opened during the 2019-20 school year, and Marce Herz Middle School is expected to open during the 2020-2021 school year.
The district says some of the biggest changes will be for high schools located south of I-80.
The meeting begins at 4 p.m. at 425 E. Ninth Street. If approved, the changes could go into effect at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
