YERINGTON, Nev. (KOLO)-- U.S. 95 Alternate just north of Yerington has fully reopened after a fatal crash Saturday about 3:40 a.m.

The Nevada Highway Patrol reports two vehicles collided head on in the area of U.S. 95 Alternate and Sierra Way.

A pickup truck was heading south when it veered into the northbound lane and collided with a sedan, the NHP said. The driver of the car died. The pickup truck driver was taken to a Yerington medical center and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
