Two men injured after fight near downtown Reno

RENO, NV (KOLO)-- An argument between two men escalated Friday afternoon near downtown Reno and both men armed themselves with sharp objects and injured each other, the Reno Police Department said.

Both men were taken to the hospital. Their injuries are no life-threatening, police said.

The incident happened around 4:16 p.m. at Evans Avenue and Fifth Street.

Police said the men had either knives or box cutters. Police are investigating to see who started the fight.

All parties are accounted for, police said.

Westbound lanes of Fifth Street from Lake Street to Evans Avenue were closed for several hours but have since opened.
