Two brush fires stopped near Parr Blvd. and U.S. 395

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Emergency crews stopped two brush fires about 100 feet apart between the Parr Blvd. on-ramp and U.S. 395 in an area across from the Washoe County Sheriff's Department. The fires started Tuesday at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Reno Police and Washoe County Sheriff's Deputies responded first and stopped the first fire with the fire extinguishers in their cars.

The Reno Fire Department is investigating to determine the cause of both fires.

The fires closed a nearby lane, but it has since reopened.
