SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KOLO)-- South Lake Tahoe Police have arrested two women they believe committed at least six vehicle burglaries in 13 hours and possibly more.

Kiasi Monet Luboviski and Briana Tyesha Williams, both 23, remained in the South Lake Tahoe jail early Thursday night.

Police said they recovered $1,500 in cash, five cell phones, a laptop computer, numerous gift cards, credit cards, and personal effects that will be returned to the owners.

Wednesday, April 10, 2019, police got a call about a car burglary at Sierra Athletic Club when someone smashed a car window and stole a purse. About 30 minutes later, there was another window-smash burglary at Fit Republic gym, police said.

Thursday, April 11, police received calls of vehicle burglaries from Gym Love and Sierra Athletic Club.

With help from credit card companies, police went to the Safeway and CVS Pharmacy in the 3400 block of Lake Tahoe Boulevard, where stolen cards were being used, and found a vehicle that matched one in the area of the other burglaries. Luboviski and Williams walked out of the CVS and police stopped them and found stolen items.

Police remind people burglars expect people to leave wallets and money in their vehicles while they exercise.
