CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) - The Carson City Sheriff's Office was investigating a pedestrian hit in a crosswalk when a deputy vehicle blocking off the area was struck by another vehicle that fled the scene.
Sometime between 4:45-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, Deputies said a woman driving a blue SUV turned the corner on Long Street and Carson Street when she hit a 60-year-old man.
He was care flighted to Renown with non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident.
While deputies were blocking the road surrounding the accident, another car hit one of the parked deputy vehicles and left the scene.
Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the deputy hit-and-run.
