Motorcyclist dies after I-80 crash
One motorcyclist died after a crash on Interstate 80 Wednesday afternoon.
Nevada Highway Patrol public information officer Duncan Dauber said the rider died shortly before 6:50 p.m. No name has been released.
The NHP says the crash was reported shortly before 2 p.m. Aug. 3, 2016. Troopers say a commercial truck lost part of its load, leading two drivers to crash. The motorcycle rider then hit a car that had been slowed to avoid that crash. No injuries other than the motorcyclist's have been reported.
All lanes have been reopened after being closed during the investigation, including westbound traffic on 80 and the northbound ramp from I-580 to westbound I-80, which was closed for about two hours.
