Authorities have identified three people who died in a head-on crash about 10 miles south of Tonopah.
The Nevada Highway Patrol on Thursday said 80-year-old driver Dan Haskon Norcom and 78-year-old passenger Diane Celestine Atencio, both of Goldfield, died on U.S. Highway 95 Wednesday when a pickup truck pulling a trailer crossed into oncoming traffic and hit their car head-on.
Troopers say the pickup driver, 47-year-old Michael Wayne McKinnis of Tonopah, also died.
Two other people in his truck were hospitalized with serous but non-life threading injuries.
Troopers say they don't suspect the drivers were impaired.
