The Salvation Army hoping to fill bus with donations
The Salvation Army will be at the Atlantis parking lot Thursday and Friday for its annual Stuff-A-Bus event. The goal is to fill the entire bus with food, clothes, and toys to help out families this holiday season.
Major Darren Trimmer said the donations will help families who are struggling. “They are our neighbors, they live next door to us. You wouldn’t even notice them on the street. There is a need.”
According to Major Trimmer rent in Reno is increasing and some people need assistance. He said, “We have people who are living paycheck to paycheck.”
The items will be passed out to families right before Christmas. The bus will be there until Friday at noon.
If you can’t make it to the event Major Trimmer said you can drop off items at the Salvation Army buildings in Reno.
