RENO, Nev. (KOLO)-- That’s dust you’re seeing in the skies over the Truckee Meadows, not smoke, the National Weather Service said Saturday.

Dry winds are blowing in from the north and are picking up dust, mainly from dry lake beds like the Black Rock Desert. The winds are carrying the dust into the Reno area.

Colder temperatures are expected on Sunday.
