Summer is something many kids look forward to, until they get bored.

"Sometimes I do not have anything to do during the summer, so I just sit in the house and my dad begs me to do chores," said Bella Mclaug.

But of course, that is why summer camps were created. Wasting Arrows partnered with the summer camp

, where they teach kids about archery for a week. Wasting Arrows also has its own week-long camps.

"This is a chance for them to learn real-life skills," said Wasting Arrows owner Lystra Pitts."We teach them the basic safety rules; then we teach them about the sport."

The archery camp is a week long.

"It is a hundred dollars for the week," said Wasting Arrows owner Deana Pitts. "It is a half day camp from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Kids can rent a bow if they do not have one. Most importantly they come in, have fun, and learn a new skill."

Lystra said his favorite part about the camps is watching the kids progress.

"One of my favorite things is to see how good these kids get as the week progresses," said Lystra. "They start off and arrows are flying all over the place, and at the end of the week they are just hitting bulls eyes and having a good time."

Wasting Arrows still has week-long camps for July, not just for kids, but for adults, too. For more information click
