Sprinklers douse fire in Sparks commercial building

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO)-- Sprinklers put out a fire Saturday afternoon in the industrial area of Sparks, the Sparks Fire Department reported.

Fire crews responded to a fire alarm in a commercial building in the 1300 block of Greg Street about 3:15 p.m. The first crew saw light smoke from the roof and called in additional fire crews.

Fire crews got inside to find a fire had been doused by sprinklers.
Four fire engines and one firetruck responded for a total of 18 personnel on the fire, the department said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
