SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - Sparks Police have made no arrests after two incidents Tuesday night.

About 8:30PM November 6, 2018, police were called to 18th and C Streets by people who heard gunfire. They found a man on the ground with what police say appear to be non-life-threatening wounds. He was taken to a hospital.

A man claiming to be the shooter stayed on scene and is cooperating with police, according to Sgt. Ben Russell. That person has not been arrested.

Also Tuesday, shortly before 5:30PM, police were called to Prater Way near Dilworth Middle School for a report of a suicidal man with a gun. As a precaution, they cordoned off the area, including blocking access to voters at Dilworth, until they could talk the man out.

After about an hour, he was led from the house and taken to a hospital for evaluation, according to Russell.
