SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KOLO)-- Someone bought a winning SuperLotto Plus lottery ticket at the South Lake Tahoe Raley’s, the California Lottery site reports.
The $14 million jackpot drawn Saturday night can be paid out over 30 years or it has an estimated $9.4 million cash value if someone wants to be paid up front in a lump sum. At the maximum 37 percent U.S. income tax rate, that would be about $5.9 million after taxes.
The California Lottery has not identified the winner. The SuperLotto Plus is played only in California and is not a multi-state lottery.
The Raley’s store Sunday said they had no one to comment.
Bill Lawrence won the $150 million Powerball lottery on Nov. 2, 2019 with a ticket he bought at Gold Ranch. Lawrence matched all the numbers and the Powerball. Mario Ramos-Munoz won $2.4 million with a Powerball ticket he purchased for the May 22, 2019, lottery at Hallelujah Junction. He matched five numbers but did not match the Powerball.
