Name released of man killed in Reno shooting

RENO, NV (KOLO) -- Reno Police have released the name of an 18-year-old killed in a shooting.

Jordan Reynoso of Reno died July 5, 2019 in the shooting near the Wells Avenue overpass. Three others were taken to a hospital.

The shooting happened about 9:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Spokane Street, which is a block south of Interstate 80 and west of Diamond’s Casino.

Police have recovered a Jeep they believe was connected to the shooting. No one has been arrested and police say they are not looking for a shooter, but haven't elaborated on the status of the investigation.

Secret Witness is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those involving in a shooting death Friday night on Spokane Street in Reno.

Renown Regional Medical Center, which stands about 2000 feet south of the shooting scene, was placed under a precautionary lockdown Friday night, a hospital spokesperson confirms.

The spokesperson said she would not comment on specifically why, but did say this is common procedure when treating certain patients and that the hospital is accepting patients at this time.

Lockdowns are put in place to protect patient privacy and safety and to give them the health care they need, the hospital spokeswoman said.
