School police take gun from Damonte Ranch High School student

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Washoe County School District police took a gun from a Damonte Ranch High School student Friday afternoon, the school district said.

The student was taken into custody and classes were not disrupted, the school district said. The case remains under investigation.

The school district learned of the incident because of a Secret Witness tip.

The school district asks that anyone who has information about this incident or any safety situation at a school to call School Secret Witness at 775-329-6666.
