Reno Police say an SUV driven by a teenager lost control in south Reno early Tuesday and crashed into a home. The SUV flipped and hit a parked car in a driveway, pushing that car into a gas meter.

This happened on Verazae Drive just after 4:30 a.m. July 31, 2018.

Police say the 16-year-old driver lost consciousness after sustaining some sort of "medical event" and had a foot wedged on the accelerator. The passenger, another juvenile, grabbed the steering wheel. Both were taken to a hospital with what police say are minor injuries.

NV Energy repaired damage to the meter. Police say one man was home at the time of the crash, but he was not hurt.
