RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A 19-year-old Reno man has been found not guilty of reckless driving causing death after a crash that killed a 15-year-old. He was also found not guilty of vehicular manslaughter.

Trevor Boldi was found not guilty by a jury in Washoe District Court February 13, 2019.

Shortly before 11:30PM June 9, 2017, emergency crews responded to West Plumb Lane and Krupp Circle in Reno on the report of a vehicle-vs-pedestrian crash. They found the 15-year-old girl in the road with head injuries, and she died after being taken to a hospital. Her name was not released, since she was a minor.

The Reno Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team conducted the investigation, saying the girl was crossing Plumb Lane mid-block when she was hit by the westbound driver.

Police say Boldi stayed on scene after the crash. After an investigation, he surrendered at the Washoe County jail and was arrested in February 2018.
