Suspect arrested in woman's death at Circus Circus

RENO, NV (KOLO) - Reno Police say they have charged a suspect in the murder of a California woman who was found dead at Circus Circus Reno.

The body of 37-year-old Amber Morris of Moreno Valley was found early Friday, July 19, 2019 around 2AM.

Police say 22-year-old Tevin Johnson was arrested the next day for unrelated charges. While he was in custody, detectives developed probable cause to arrest him for open murder.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

FOX19 NOW in Cincinnati reports Morris grew up in Ross, Ohio, and that she and her husband were in Reno for his job. She leaves behind four children.
