Reno Police investigating attempted carjacking

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Reno Police are investigating an attempted carjacking from Thursday night.

Police say the victim was inside her parked car on West Moana Lane about 9PM February 7, 2019 when a man approached, opened her door and ordered her out of the car. The victim grabbed her purse and ran. When the man and another man realized they could not start the car without the key fob, they ran.

Police say one man is described as Hispanic and in his mid-twenties, 5'7"-5'9", skinny, possibly with shaved head, and wearing an orange or red hoodie with a big "O" on front and black pants. The second is described as Hispanic and in his mid-twenties, 5'10"-6' and 160 pounds with dark brown or black hair, medium length and shaggy. He was wearing a black jacket that went to the knees, and possibly a gray shirt.
